Missing our sandhills from back in Paynes Prarie , FL ... Out here in Oregon we have wonderful large flocks of "Canada Geese" Do there ever go home ? I love their noisy honks .
Some of those sandhill cranes winter with us here in North Central Florida! Payne’s Prairie is the winter home to many, and we had a mated pair that would linger in our on-campus garden plots on the UF campus. One year they brought a third that we assume was their baby! Wish I could share a photo…
