Thank you for giving Ghost and Gin the best lives, and a dignified end. They surely felt all kinds of loved.

What a thoughtful parting you offered both of these sweethearts. Your consideration of Ghost's position (likely unable to carry on without his brother) is so touching. Keeping a farm going surely means navigating all kinds of small and large heartbreaks like this. I'm grateful you brought such presence and wisdom to these goodbyes.

Thanks for sharing the journey. Horses are like big dogs 🐕 and their aging is often equally heartbreaking.💔

I always save your posts when they arrive in my inbox - they are a treasured reprieve from the rest of the world, and my own challenging life. I finally had a few moments to read this post, and I am so very sorry for your loss. I am also deeply appreciative of the kind, loving relationships you nurtured with these fellows, the safe, rich life you afforded them for so many years, and the gentle passing that Ghost was allowed. I hope the ache in your heart is soothed by the joyful memories you have of them.

What you did for these beautiful horses was wonderful. I'm sorry Ghost passed away, but it sounds like he had a good life. Hopefully Gin is having a good time in the other farm.

This was so beautiful. I love a gray, they are something special.

p.s. Can I ask where you got those awesome boots in your photo of you with both horses? I'm looking for something similar for my horse job.

I’m so sorry. Even when it’s the right thing, the best thing, I don’t think it makes it much easier to let them go. Big hugs to you. 💜

ohhh! ❤️‍🩹 I did not know the origin of the Good Spirits and, being a horse person myself, love your endeavors even more now. You gave Ghost and Gin their best lives and made the final separation easiest for both of them.

Thank you for sharing their story (love the photos of the two mischief makers! and you riding Gin while leading Ghost! 💕). I’m so deeply touched.
