I'm intrigued by this seed bed sterilization! I would have thought heating the soil up would encourage the weeds to grow? I'm going to educate myself and maybe give it a shot for my own beds!
the trick is to get it really hot - plus the tarps will block the light for at least the next few weeks, so any weeds that were thinking of popping up early should get knocked back. Use the darkest color you can find!
