Thrilled to read about music (back) in your life. I am a lapsed violist who needed several decades to convince myself that I didn’t need to be perfect every time I picked it up. Finally I am at the point where I no longer regret not pursuing that career. I find joy in making music, alone and with others: that’s the real gift.
You’re the second person I know who has recently found joy in picking up an instrument that hadn’t been played in a while. I regret I never learned how to play anything. Maybe this is my sign to learn. (Just kidding. I don’t have time for my existing hobbies as it is 😆)
