AC I have been with your weekly posts since early 2020. I really look forward to hearing about your farm and every single animal's adventures. The way you treat all your farm animals (pets) makes me feel very good. I hope everything is good with you. Don't be too hard on yourself. It is very nice that you will be making a retirement home for your older rooster.

I look forward to your stories. Kindness is not easy but always the right thing to do. Lucky Daddy.

Oh my gosh, I got a little misty reading this one. I think it’s because my Aussie girl turns 14 this year and it’s really tough watching animals go through their full lifecycle in short time. To see a vibrant, scrappy, maybe even infuriating soul mellow in age is surprising and bittersweet. The things that used to drive me crazy — this dog never got tired of dropping her solid, hard rubber ball on the top of my bare foot in a bid to play — I now sorta miss. She can’t hold the ball in her mouth that long anymore, and she sleeps a lot. I’m sure you don’t miss getting ankle-attacked, but I felt the mixed feelings in this post.
