We're all talon-ted, y'all!

When was the last time you took a moment to appreciate your talents? You have so many of them; we all do. Mine are: being cute, always finding the warmest spot in the chickie cuddle heap, and pooping on mom when she picks me up. It's a gift! But my most important talent is bringing joy and love into this world. I bet you have that talent, too.

Here's What's Happening At Good Spirits Farm

• It's been a WEEK. We've had three crews of folks on the property getting the fences finished, the waterlines put in, and our well up and running. Somehow, it's all coming together!! Yesterday we had gravel and concrete trucks coming and going all day, and on top of it all, our bees decided to swarm! I think I've forgotten what it feels like to be bored?

• Getting all this work done means we should be on track to pick up our two new cows next week. I got a once-over on my very old truck (2001, baby!) to make sure it's ready for an all-day road trip pulling a trailer.

• The turkeys, which were once so cute, are getting uglier by the day. Weirdly, this just makes me love them more. If I stay this attached to them, Thanksgiving may be a vegan affair!
