Here’s What’s Happening At Good Spirits Farm
How is started:
How it’s going:
This summer’s chicks have finally gotten to work! I’m thrilled to have dark brown egg layers in the bunch. That’s a color I’ve wanted to add to our rainbow egg assortment for years. Aren’t they gorgeous?
Unfortunately, the new kids haven’t figured out how to lay in the nesting boxes, so I’m currently going on an Easter Egg hunt every night trying to gather eggs. These were found tucked under the tractor one evening.
The seedlings are popping up too!
It’s been so warm; the flats are currently living in a little outdoor grow house. I love not having to run our grow lights, but 65-degree days in February always feels a little ominous.
Of course, it is prime season for the farm’s main spring crop: Mud!
Gin and Ghost couldn’t be happier about the state of their pasture. Mud masks for everyone!
Here’s What I Loved This Week:
I am obsessed with this chicken I crocheted. She was a gift for a friend recovering from surgery, and I smiled the whole time I was working on her! She’s just too cute! (The pattern is here, in case you need a crocheted chicken in your life, too!)
I *do* need a crocheted chicken in my life! How did you know? 🐔 good luck with all the mud 🐑🐐
The crocheted chicken really is the best!!
