Here's What's Happening At Good Spirits Farm

• It's our one-year chick-iversary! Exactly a year ago a box of day-old chicks arrived in the mail. These gals have brought so much joy to my life and I'm so glad I can share them with you all!

• It's time to move our cabbage, kale, and broccoli seedlings out from underneath the grow lights and into the greenhouse. I can hardly wait to have garden veggies again.

• We're going to experiment with a small, early cover crop of winter peas and oats. If it grows, it will provide fodder for the chickens while holding soil in place for crops that can't go in until late May. (If it doesn't grow, well, we learned something.)
